Roxana Roman-Crespo, DrPHc, MPH

Roxana Roman Crespo is a Proposal Writer at Caduceus. Prior to joining our team, Ms. Roman worked with the Puerto Rico Department of Health. As an epidemiologist, she directed the contact tracing system for two municipalities in Puerto Rico. Ms. Roman has more than 7 years of experience as a Municipality Federal Funds and Housing Director.
She obtained a Bachelor in Arts in Psychology (B.A. Psy) from the University of Puerto Rico at Mayagüez Campus (RUM), a Master's in Public Health, and is a candidate for a Doctorate in Public Health Epidemiology from Ponce Health Sciences University.
She has been certified in several programs, including the Preparation Program in Applied Social Research (PPISA), CADCA, PAHO, and FEMA ICS, among others. Her internship experience at the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention (CDC) at the National Center for Chronic Disease Prevention and Health Promotion (NCCDPHP), through Hispanic Serving Health Professions Schools, contributed to the development of skills in health prevention and promotion.
She has also worked as a researcher in areas such as HIV-AIDS, Gender Perspective, Genetics, among others. Ms. Roman has served as an interviewer for research projects such as Puerto Rico Elderly Health Conditions and Maternal Characteristics Associated with Low Birth Weight in Puerto Rico, directed by the Science Campus of the University of Puerto Rico, among other projects.
