General Counsel
Ana María Santiago-Ramírez is the General Counsel for Caduceus, and serves as primary legal counsel to senior management, heads the company’s Legal Department, and ensures that Caduceus is compliant with federal, state, and local regulations.
Mrs. Santiago-Ramírez has worked in the government sector and in private practice. Her background includes labor and employment law and legislative affairs as an Associate Attorney in the legal firm of O’Neill & Borges. She also worked as Legal Advisor to the Vice President of the Government Development Bank for Puerto Rico.
Mrs. Santiago-Ramírez has a vast experience in criminal law, having worked as a Juvenile Prosecutor and Special Assistant United States Attorney in Puerto Rico. Prior to joining Caduceus, Mrs. Santiago-Ramírez was the Assistant Attorney General for the Puerto Rico Department of Justice.
Mrs. Santiago-Ramírez holds a Bachelor of Arts Degree in Political Science from University of Puerto Rico-Mayagüez Campus and a Juris Doctor from the University of Puerto Rico-Law School. She is also an avid runner and triathlete having finished multiple races, including marathons, triathlons and an Ironman 140.6.
